4,6 and 8 fluro.
smaller line = more bites
Even if you lose one, better to get bit more often and learn to bring in bigger targets on lighter line.
And it's a blast and very rewarding when you do!!

However, lighter line doesn't endure as well as heavier line.
Targets like halibut will break off easier.
Consider line weight when choosing a lure. Don't throw 1oz spinners on 4#

And stuff like that.

15-20 braid to 12lb fluoro for me. Never know when that halibut will swallow that plastic and you'll wish you had a little bit heavier line. Plus leadheads and plastics start adding up when you start loosing them to rocks and kelp. Most times though the lighter lines will do just fine and they're more fun. Take both!

Theres a lot more than what lbs test to fish.
What baits are you using, what's your set up, what type of fishing do you do (power or finesses )
All these types use different lbs test
Example
Spinning or Casting set-up
Med-heavy - drop shot, 3" swimbaits etc 6-10lbs

Bait caster
Med-heavy or heavy
Cranks, sprinner baits, 4-7" swimbaits etc
15-30lbs.

Again, fish what lbs test line that your set is rated for and fish those baits.
