I use an Eagle 350C finder w/ standard skimmer transducer on my float tube. They are mounted portable for use on the Outcast fish cat [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]  or Fat Cat.
I have used the standard Vexilar type 12Vx 7A gell cell battery for reliable power.
Just the other day my son bounced through the shop door grinning from ear to ear. He was the bearer of a new Lithium 9 amp battery for my float tube. When he handed it to me it felt like the box was empty . I'll replace the spade ends on the finder with a pair of alligator clips to use on this new battery . My son did caution me that these need to be charged on 2 amp , but are quick to charge . The battery is designed for motorcycle use.
If I can figure out how I'll post pictures.
Weight of new battery 1.030 lbs. Cool
Edit to add weight

Still learning my way around. I hit a thanks button for welcoming me to the forum. I hope that is how it is done.
Battery weight loss is nice but truth be known paring of weight on myself would help more. lol
Little early here but I spend a lot of time in a tube .
