Been a while since I posted a report so here goes. I've been getting out late and fishing the dead of night. Got out twice last week. 1st night picked off about 7-8 fish, a mix of mostly small sand and a couple of spotties. One a new PB spottie for me. A couple of nights later I was able to go out again. Once again was picking some small sand and calico bass here and there when all of a sudden I felt a really powerful hit. This one gave me a heck of a battle and fought harder than any other bay bass I've caught so far. After praying I wouldn't lose this one and some really good drag burning I got it to the surface. I thought it would be a big spottie but it turned out to be a chunky sand bass. Sure was a lot of fun.

All fish caught on 1/4 oz jigheads with a 3" grub or big hammer.

LOL. That's a good one. Thanks Misfitdog. If you went ocean fishing more often you'd be slaying 'em no problem for sure.
