Hi I am new to this forum. Hope to gain and give out some helpfull info from time to time. Being from Canada the ice has just left our lakes so I am chompin at the bit to get out. Pike closes on the 31 so pan fish is the only thing open for me until pike and Walters open back up in a month. Cheers

I'm from SoCal so I'm looking forward to some reports from up north.

can you give us a good set up for fishing pike? I live here in so. California but visit Idaho, Washington and Michigan occasionally but have always been afraid of being bitten off...
steel leader? heavy monofilament? lures can be expensive!

Now that is a great question

The pike up here dont have many teeth as a result of playing too muck hockey! Red Smile

On a more serious not I dont like steel leaders so I usually play russian roulette with my lures which sucks when fishin bass with live target frogs because when a toothy critter hits them they are gone .
