Hey guys. Going to be heading up to mammoth at the end of this month for Sierra opener bounce Thumbs Up hopefully everything is thawed. this is my first time there with a float tube. Do you guys know if I need a permit for certain lakes? Or can I just go in with no problems or anything like that?

As far as I know, no permits needed. I have fished North Lake, Sabrina. Lundy. Friends have fished Mary's, Twin Lakes Mammoth. Go for it.....GT

They are the coldest and may even still be frozen. Have your layers ready .Underarmor,polyester fleece pants and wool socks. Avoid wearing any cotton underneath your waders as it just absorbs moister.

Even if you are staying in Mammoth the June loop is just a short drive away.
