Well their is a algae bloom going on in Perris Lake. Lake surface water temp at 1130 was 81 degrees F. U could see algae down to about 3-4 feet and then green.............It was showing up along the shoreline to due to the wind. Found some dead fry, looked like some sort of shad. Today they were going to spray the lake in the AM to try and kill it. If we have a really hot summer, I could see some die off occurring.

Got skunked, 1 baby bass and I mean a little guy, hit a gold and silver spoon........beautiful day to fish Perris, virtually no wind, no waders.
But the water did have a odor, noticed it when I got out
Kicked to the bend in the dam and back. Off the point was loaded with B boats and a few yaks. Didn't want to compete for turf.
Out by noon.
Fished in water 13-15" in depth. Should have probably fished in a little deeper water. Great day, just no fish..............GT

That's too bad about the Algae Bloom.

But hey...you still got to go fishing. I figure getting skunked is a perfectly good reason to go fishing again as soon as possible to get it off my back. pirat

Great place for some Trout Fishing! I was recruited for a Guide job in the Sierras when I was still working as a Guide in Washington and Canada. They made a very tempting offer but in the end I turned them down.
