I've been looking into Go Pro cameras, I kinda want one.
Are they worth the money?

Definitely worth it if you put it to use.

worth it! im still using a hero2 and it works like a champ.

You can look at the competitors as well.

I picked up the Astak for 60 bucks last year.
GT caught one on sell for $40

They're actually a lil cheaper this yr.
However, I did spot a GoPro Hero3 for $150 with accessories.
I don't know if that's a deal or not.
I guess it depends on the accessories cuz the hero3 goes for about 190 right now

LOL ... here you guys are planning on how to carry more stuff and
all that I want to do is go lighter and carry less of everything ..... simplicity. Ha ha ha!!

My underwater camera takes very legible pic's and gets put away (out of the way) until needed.

In my personal opinion: having to endure someone's video that is 90% crappy music, 45% showing bent rods and .25% of actual shots showing the fish is rather boring to me. That's just my opinion and not worth the $ investment to me.
