Fished the LAB today for the first time in over a year. I decided to go for some harbor fishing since the swells were not that kind today. I forgot how fun it was catching Spotties. Angry little dudes they are.
All my fish came off of bright colors today and reaction baits fished slow on the bottom. The incredibly filthy post storm water quality guided me to stick with that pattern.
Total Fish Count: 13
2 legal spotties, 2 near legal (short by an inch)
Everything else was mini-spotties, calicos, sand bass, and this fiesty cuda that came out of nowhere. I saw them at various points in the harbor, surprising actually. Of all the years I've been at the LAB I've never encountered them.

Crabs and Tako! Didn't know that there was octopi in the harbor, but I can't say that I'm surprised.
