I've been getting questions about how I do the iPad fishfinder setup so I finally got this little review together.

I've been settled into this configuration for a while with the iPad and CastMate Rod Holder on my left and my right side open. I'm right handed so my rod is in my right hand and I've learned through trial and error that anything sticking up higher up than the pocket is going to get in the way.

My tackle box is a Plano 3500 Utility Box and holds my lures. It fits perfectly on the CastMaste "tackle table" and secures with Velcro. Makes a nice little tabletop and armrest as well Smile

I have another small box about half that size in the tube's pocket for sinkers and various hardware I rarely use. A spool of leader material, some pliers and a fish lipper, a small towel, a left hand leather glove for pulling on braid when necessary, clippers and a handful of odds and ends and that's about it.

The basic idea here can be easily adapted to fit most situations. You can pretty much put any size fishfinder you want on your tube. Personally, I love the big display size of the iPad and the detail of the downvision sonar. The battery pack only weighs six pounds and fits comfortably behind my seat, so it hasn't been a problem for me.

Happy Fishing!

Great video Bob.
I like the demonstration of how the I Pad works as a screen and the details of setting it up.

Thanks  for sharing.
