Sorry this report is late. A friend and I went out for a ninja session in Alamitos bay. We launched from 68th or 69th street and kicked out way to the channel infront of Ballast Point. We had a good day on the water, I had around 15 fish he had around 10 in the 5 hours or so we were on the water. I have to give him credit, he stayed out there even when his tube sprund a leak. He used lung power to keep him afloat. He would blow into his boston valve when his bladder got really soft.
We have been using gulp at night and that night the 3inch Shrimp in Nuclear Chicken and New Penny was the ticket. In open water or around the docks this bait produced. The first four fish i caught were Sand Bass in open water, the next 8 were Spotties around the docks and rocks. I even caught a few Mackerel with my home made inline spinner. It was a fun night on the water even with the bad luck my buddy ran into. Some good news is he fixed the leak the next day.

Tight lines everyone.
