Assaulted Mission Bay Sat 3-23-2019

San Diego, Mission Bay 06:00 hrs until 11:30 hrs.
(19 fish landed)

CE: 100 in the morning
Water temp: 60 deg
Air Temp: 50 deg to 62 deg.
Conditions: 05:41 hrs LT -0.2', 11:49 hrs HT 4.6


1st AO at MB: 06:00 hrs unti 08:30 hrs.
No bite until 06:30 hrs ... it was a good strong bite until 07:30 hrs.
(9) short Spotty's
(3) short Sandy's
(3) short Calico
(I had 5-6 really strong line-rippng pulls that let go.... DANG!)
Tackle: Texas rigged 7" salty white Zoom on a 1/0 off-set Owner mosquito hook drop shot style for nada and the purple HUB was totally ignored as well for nada. The sardine green HUB (was the magic) at that location.

I ended-up riding the incoming tide back to my launch and was out of the water by 08:30 hrs.

2nd AO at MB: 09:00 hrs until 11:30 hrs.
The bite started-off GREAT at 09:00 hrs and it shut off by 09:30 hrs.  

(1) short Hali
(3) short Spotty's
I changed out my drop shot from the Zoom w/ a off-set hook to a Gulp 3" watermelon Minnow on a Owner 1/0 mosquito hook and the Bass liked it a lot between 09:00-9:30 hrs.
The Hali was on the HUB. .... That was it folk's!

So... for the next two hours I just kicked around, enjoyed the outdoors and practiced my casting techniques, in preparation of this coming Sat.

It was a good adventure!

It sounds like a great trip down south. Plenty of fish and you seemed to have timed the tides right.

It was interesting that the bite was either full-on or else it didn't exist at all. lol

I made it home safely ...
However .. the drive home was 112 miles of stop and go traffic. Was it worth it? Yup!!

There was a weed fire in the center median, throwing 10' - 15' flames near San Onofre and then a bit later up the road there was a terrible multi-car accident evolving 8 -10 cars, I could see an injured person laying on the side of the road receiving (CPR) full-on chest compression's with breath assist! Dang! I hope that they were able to save the person.
