Los Alamitos Gathering Report

In the water .  Gloomy conditions but not that cold. Nice incoming tide.  
2 fish in so far.  Worked the slips on the island side first. . Now heading to the channel by Ballast Point to work dive boat docks.

Jeff and I out of the water around 10:30.  Fishing picked as the tide started moving. Ended up with 12.  5 sand bass, mostly little guys to 11”, 2 yellow fin croaker, and 5 nice spotties from 12 to 15 inches . Ended up witb 5 guys out for the gathering on different schedules. Me and Jeff and David hung out for a while and we ran into Gabriel later . A great day and super nice to get out on the tubes.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Yep as Marc said 5 on the water. Marc and I, Pete (blacksmith Baits), David Guzi, and Gabriel arrived a little after we got in the water. Marc had the hot stick as far as I can tell. I had for all pretty good quality. Got a halibut that looked to possible be legal but it fell short by a full inch. So I am still in the hunt for a legal halibut.

Halibut, Croakers and Spotty’s … oh my!!
I sure do miss fishing after those species and landing them.
Thank you for the fish report with pictures.
For some reason, fishing is always much more of a blast when you’re fishing with friends!!
