So sat morning my buddy asked if I wanted to go and hunt for some gost and I was all in but had to check with the wife 1st. So few phone calls later and we were heading out from Huntington Harbo. Plan was to fish along the beach and once we got to our area and couple of phone calls later we ran to Cat. Island. water & wheather was nice.

Made few pieces of bait and got hooked up from the one of the squid boats at the island.

We were the only boat fishing this area intill morning. We had our 1st ghost on the boat by 8pm and this would be my 1st white seabass ever. My buddy and I lost couple of good fish due to kelp/pulled hooks that we think were the right kind but we all know how it is, you never know what it is intill you see it.

I fished all night for nothing and at early morning we position boat and starting hooking up again. I landed 2 more seabass with 1 going back due to being short 27". this guy inhaled the bait and my circ hook, never had this happen befor and hopefully this guy is still alive as he was bleeding kind bad when i released him Sad

We ended the trip with 2 white seabass in the box and several calicos released.

This was my 3rd or 4th trip ever to target the mighty ghost and ended up landing 3 on this trip and my buddy 0. This is his 3rd time now to put other people on there 1st seabass.

here are a few pictures and hope everyone all had an awsome weekend and was able to wet line or 2

yeah that cove holds alot of fish but it all depends on what depth your fishing. i know the seabass can be anyway from 45-90ft of water and yellows seems to like the deeper water. there is alot of bass there too but they are most the famous Island bass 11-3/4" lol.
