What’s up guys!! I was thinking about purchasing a new reel possibly a combo. I mainly use Abu Garcia revo series reels. I’m really thinking about getting the Shimano curado Dc, or possibly a lews. I was wondering what do you guys like using or recommended?! Hope everyone having a good day and let’s have a good talk!

The lews speed reels with the matching poles is beautiful haha. And I guess the dc has like a chip on the inside that helps control the braking system. Says still have to apply some pressure with thumb but less the a original.

I have three bait casters I use regularly.

Abu Garcia Black Max
Abu Garcia Pro Max
Abu Garcia Revo S

The Pro Max can handle lighter jigs or worms than the Revo. The Revo S feels beyond sturdy for any bass I have drug back with it. I still have an Ambassadeur 500 but rarely use it.

I spool them all with 30 pound braid and run a top shot from 4 to 20 feet depending on what I am tossing. Typically Fluro from 8 pound test to 15 pound.

I hope this helps.

I fish mostly saltwater and use Daiwa reels the coastal 153h, millionaire 203 cv-x, tatula and team daiwa advantage. I did pick up a couple 13 fishing reels that I really like. The one 3 origin tx and the concept z. They have been great since I picked them up. I would recommend and Daiwa product and the 13 fishing reels that I mentioned.

I have several baitcasting reels. I prefer my Lew's and Abu's reels over my Shimano's and Daiwa's. I believe Abu and Lew's are made in the same factory in Korea. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I strongly believe in more quality bearings make the for a smoother reel. At the end of the day it comes down to budget and what you're using it for. If you have the money to fork out I would go with a quality Lew's.

If you're fishing saltwater then scratch what I just said and do some research on good saltwater reels. Fresh and salt are 2 different beasts.
