I don't know if anyone else has had an issue with not wanting to put all your weight on the back rest of your tube. I don't have a lot of trust in the two flimsy straps that hold it up. When I first got my tube it was pretty uncomfortable to me because I would try to sit up straight to not ware out straps.. but when I went to lake Perris for the toy drive I took a 5 gal bucket with me for the first time and I put it behind the seat. What a difference it made because it was just the right size and I can sit back and relax knowing the back rest is also being held up with the bucket. And since then I don't go out without my bucket. I have a Cumberland, I don't know if any other tubes are about the same size.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I use a 5 gallon bucket on my Cumberland as well. It fits good, is easy to carry, and keeps stuff dry. And I do notice the back support as well.

I am sure there can be some issue with leaning back and damaging the straps, but I have never had an issue with that. Of course I can see how the bucket can help. I am sure other people might find this bit of info useful, thanks for sharing.
