Good ice fishing in Massachusetts....never done it myself but have seen some epic pictures and videos courtesy of On The Water magazine/tv....a New England based fishing show. They always do a good job covering ice fishing...enough to get me interestes in it...but i still havent done it lol.

By the way Fish Chaser what do you use to put your GoPro underwater? That video was really cool....i need to get me one of those so i can get some underwater shots. And did you use the gopro in camera mode for your pics or just take still images from the video.

I just mounted my gopro on a stick, you can see it on the pic, I am going to think of better ways to do it without the stick in the pic, I nead to be less lazy and drill extra holes for the camera. I did both time lapse and video, but the video stills dont have very good format.

This winter with the weather being all over the map (rain one day, minus the next) the ice here where I fish has not been as thick as is usually is. Now it's about a foot thick, most times by now it would be about 2 feet thick. Great pictures by the way very well done.Still waiting for my first pike ice fishing.

Sweeeet!! Great footage as always. We really don't get much of a chance to ice fish here even though we have plenty of higher elevation lakes that ice over in winter. Our trout season ends in November and starts the last weekend in April, just a bit late. By the way how thick does the ice have to be ( minimum ) to safely go out there?

And S#$%W that! I am a total fish addict but there is NO way i'm ever gonna be that cold again for a fish! LOL
Did the whole freezing my tail off in a "crappie house" (picture floating sheet metal building floating over sunken trees) in Texas and that was'nt anywhere nearly as cold as you diehards are braving!!!!! Hats off to you for both the fish AND the bravery (? nuttieness ?) to get out there and target them!
