I use my scuba fins, they work great and you can find some for a cheap price.

I have force fins as well.....$50 but they work great. For a PFD I have the bulky, orange one you can buy at wal-mart for less than 10 bucks. Funny how i spend a lot on fins but go cheap on something that could save my life one day lol

I hear that force fins are the way to go if you can get pass the price tag.

I wish someone would sell me their extra pair of force fins. Crying or Very sad lol

As for PFD, the basic ski/boat approved pfd will work, but are bulky and difficult to fish with. If you got the cash, a self inflating PFD work best for fishing.

I use an old pair of full foot diving / scuba fins. I tried the "force fins" and I didn't like them at all. They are really small and short so they are great for maneuverability and quick thrust of power, but there is no way I can kick around a harbor all day in them. They simply are not made to cover long distances because of the short length. Where my longer diving fins aren't as easy to maneuver, but I can cover long distances fast and easy without ever getting tired.

I guess it all depends how you look at it. At first the force fins were really hard yo get used to. Eventually they became really comfortable and i loved them....unt i broke he buckle on one of them and had to use my cheap dive fins again. This time the dive fins were uncomfortable and really awkward.

I see fins like a mountain bike...force fins are like low gear on a bike...hard to pedal but once you get going you are flyin. Other fins are like high gear on a bike...you have to pedal like a mad man but it's really easy to go uphill (long distances from a few tubers point of view).

I might have mixed up the low/high gear moutain bike example but you get the idea.

Ill leave it at this though....if you ever got stuck in a nasty current or were kicking against the wind id take the force fins anyday. Yea it will be tougher to kick but if your life is depending on it your legs will keep kicking...trust me on that.

I use huge dive fins and a PDF that goes around your waist and inflates with the pull of a cord. $40.00 on sale at Bass Pro sometimes

Scuba fins, U.S. Diver FX FLex Pro. Mainly for summer months only. Putting in on with a wader, it will be a problem.
