Shoreline jeddy after Super Bowl

Hit the pier me and Ed5000x and got our lines in. Kid and his Dad come up with gear asking how to tie on, what bait to use etc. So we help them out and it was the classic senario: Kid catches a barred purch, 2# yellow fin croaker and a small sandy and a few small bait size croakers. Me and Ed? Nothing. The tide was on the up swing so we stuck it out and the kid and his Dad finally left and they took the skunk with them. In 20 minutes time we each pulled a croaker. Too tired for a picture and work the next morning we packed it in to head for the barn. Good time all in all!

Thanks for the report I beat the kid was jazzed right, at least there was no skunk.

Kid had the mind set. His Dad didn't know much about what to do but the kid kept saying he was going to catch a fish over and over again. He was putting the good foot forward ya know? It's funny how that works. I caught mine and was glad to beat the skunk. Ed says let's pack it in. I said no not until you catch this next one coming. Then he hooked up. Just like that. It's the mind set I tell ya.

Wetting a line is always fun! Glad ya got a Croaker! That area is filled with Croakers!

Always a good time that is for sure. It's one of our go to spots for scratching the fishing itch.
