I have been looking around too for some waders that won't cost more than my tube!!?? Cabela's Waterfowl Edition
magazine just came out and they are touting these as being good for float tubing. Go to Cabela's site and enter

Hey, your welcome! I wish we could get some feedback from someone that uses or has used waist high waders for tubing!? I think they would be
fine,especially for warmer weather.
And I wonder if 3mm is thick enough?
I see Cabela's has a chest high 5mm
for about $68.00 that looks pretty
rugged and still fairly inexpensive. scratch

The extra pair i have is a medium, i think they might be too small for you.

I use the breathable ones in Western NC and it gets colder than the Sierras. I wear fleece pants and possibly thermals under that depending on how cold it is.I've fished many times in 25degree or colder weather. Can't say I enjoyed it but I was warm.
