Went to downey wilderness today to do a little trout fishing. Got there around 12pm. There were a few anglers there and was told that the lake was stocked with trout on wednesday. Rigged the ultra light with the DS and a red power worm. A few cast and it was fish on. Reeling it in, a quickly realize this is no trout by the way it was pulling.
Got it to the shore and to my surprise it was a freakin' kitty. Never caught a cat before which was cool, and fighting it on 2lb test was pretty awesome.

After catching it this strange bird with these cool orange eyes kept trying to sneak up and take my catch. that damn bird stood by me the whole time after that.

As for the trout, i went through a few different color worm, before find the right color which was natural(brown). The trout kept the worm but not taking in the hook.
Ended up leaving with the cat. Gave the cat to my little lady so she could make her favorite dish, catfish soup.
Thanks for reading.
