Fiished crystal lake yesterday, fishing was hott caught about 20 rainbows, only downside is they were all under a pound!!! Lol but overall I had a good day, the bite was non stop all day!! And the water level was super low!!! Seriously more of a pond then a lake!!!

Is this the Crystal Lake in the San Gabriel Mtns above Azusa? Last time I was there (just after it reopened) it was covered with algae. Sounds like it has improved over the past couple of yrs. BTW - I live in Upland.

That's crazy. I haven't been up there since it reopened. It used to be wide open on monster sun fish and micro bass.

Several years ago my wife and I went up there however the lake was covered with algae and had a bad oder, we left and went to Lake Barressa which was great!
