With my summer break quickly coming to an end, I decided to through my gear in the truck and head up to Stockton to visit Pops and the family.
After watching my nieces softball tourney it was time to get on the water.
Location: CA Delta near 8 mile road
Wind: 9 mph
Water: choppy and murky
Misc: lots of summer boat traffic
Time: 6-9 pm
Conditions were not great and went about an hour before we saw any signs of life. Couple of short strikes and two dinks in the next 30 min.
Fish were not hitting top water but they didn't seem to be actively feeding deep either. Decided to fly line a 5" Senko in pumpkinseed. Couple casts later and it was fish on!
