Yep, been to Perris for the past few weekends. Let just say you will have major shrinkage. 6AM, air: 48°F to 52°F. Water: 49°F (surface), and increase to 53°F around 10AM. Sub-surface (3ft): 51°F, constant. So, your feet, if you wear shorts, will be slightly warmer than your waist, if you're touching water.

Wader is heavily recommended. However, if you're like me, liking to drink lots of coffee, wear thigh-high waders and shorts. Other than that, don't drink too much.

Oh, just a suggestion on Perris right now:

Jigs are hot right now: 1/8oz (early morning), 1/4oz to 1/2oz as the LMBs retreat from the bright sun light, and 3/4oz if you're hitting the 14ft to 24ft water strutures, weedlines, or rocky shores, using olive green-yellow skirts, or red-black crawdad color scheme.

Ice jigs: if you're kicking out to the deeper pockets to find suspended schools, between 24ft to 36ft, hit them hard with an ice jig (Northland Puppet Minnow), blue-black or yellow-black (tiger strips) patterns.

Dropshot: use 4" to 6" Creatures/Roboworms (pumpkin-with black sparkles or blood red with silver speckles), 5" to 7" rainbow trout plastic. Bluegill (4" to 6") swimbait to dropshot will also get nailed hard.

A-Rig: DEFINITELY! Use #7 Colorado leaf jigged to arms. Load it up with silver/pearl/white bait fish and 2 to 3 trout pattern, swimming in school, entice them right through the school. This is the result:

Failed to land due to structure snagged.
