If anyone is interested, the Bluegill are still biting out in deep water at Perris.  You just have to find the groups of fish in 30 feet or more and jig them with very light line and small baits.  Water is cold, so you need to wear waders.  If you go, please release the big ones, over 9 inches.  Watch out for the crazy boaters..wear a bright color.

Thanks for the report Jeff. Great fish handling method by the way. We should release all precious panfishes, especially the males, if it's more than 9". These are special survivors that will breed the next generations of awesome monsters with their genetics.
