San Clemente Surf Fishing

I decided to hit up the home beach today. My brothers were at a tournament so I invited a friend who lived nearby to come out. We went out twice, once before high tide and once at dark after high tide. It was pretty slow, with just a few bites and no fish during the first session, but when we went back down I managed to at least hook this little guy.

It was a really nice day though, and we had a bunch of fun. We're hoping to get a bunch more next time.

Skunk better that is the way to do if at first you don't set the hook, go home and come back later for another shot at it   thanks for sharing good work.

That beats getting SKUNKED!!! Even on the worst days... Is it really that bad!? I don't think so. Just glad to get out and wet a line. Good job on the skunk beater.
