I have a Linksys EA6900. Its pricey but I like it. More features than most people would ever use. If you want one for security, get a sonicwall tz100w.

For WPA secured networks, look up "packet injection". For WEP networks, packet capturing. Youll need a wifi compatible card and software called Backtrack (its free) for both methods.dlobo wrote:How do I successfully "test" my neighbors wifi?

Load sharing internet connection on a PC if I understand your question? hmm... i guess it would depend on your computers resources, CPU, memory etc. Fast internet connection is dependent on your internet speed and of course, the NIC card. When you have multiple browsers open, each browser is its own separate internet session. So you can have a million browsers open, and the speed would still be the same as having one browser open (combined).kin wrote:Here's a good one! Like current dual core/quad core/ too many core processors, can one theoretically utilize multiple internet connections to make one SUPER fast internet connection? If it is possible, please share your knowledge along with how to "test" protected wifi connections
I answered the long version..loldlobo wrote:Kin, in case he doesn't here the answer is no.
Move to Europe, theyre internet speed blows ours out of the water!dlobo wrote:Frustrating isn't it?
They can spend billions looking for and supposedly finding the God Particle but our internet speeds will just have to suck.
Any wifi router can run up to 254+ devices - depending on what IP Address class you use. You can disable internet access via windows, but that gets too complicated. Alot of routers have the feature to block internet at a certain time period. You can even get fancy and block access for only certain computers and not others. I dont know if my router has it, but Ill look into models if you want.jeffcpr wrote:What is the best WiFi for the money, as far as running multiple devices. Also is there a way to lock it down at night say like a timer feature parenteral controls. You know kids these days I fall asleep and they walk up.
It has to be compatible with Backtrack. Theres a list out there. Id have to dig it up.dlobo wrote:What is a wifi compatible card?
dlobo wrote:Kin's question is why can't I be connected to my network and my neighbors connection and combine that capacity to double my speed.
You have 30 seconds... tick tock
