New to the forum and float pontoons. Live near the Hiwassee River. Looks like a lot of knowledge and experienced folks here.

Welcome Team Taylor!
This is a great spot to gather and share fishing info, especially if you have a tube or toon.

I was driving in your neck of the woods heading toward Knoxville. Every few miles I would pass over the same river, can't recall the name. I would look down and think, "man, that looks fishy, sure would like to tube it!"

Reply to fisheromen, I think the water you passed over heading to Knoxville was probably the Caney Fork near Cookeville. The rest station on I 40 has a pull off area that you can park and walk in to the river. It's a tailwater, so you need to know when they are generating. If they are generating heavy the water is high and moves pretty fast. You can google the TWRA (TN Wildlife Resource Agency) and get a phone number to call for generation information.

Yes, pretty sure that was the name. It is not likely I will ever be out that way again, but you never know.
