Welcome to the forum! I am looking forward to bay fishing in the same awesome tube!! Let me know when you are geared up.
I just bought my cumberland and took it out fir the first time on Sunday in brutal winds at El Cap. She performed like a champ through the chop and the boat wake.
I can tell you that the Cumberland really is all that. Only taking it out once, I am convinced of it.
From being belly deep in my Caddis Sierra Gold (Great tube for 8 years) to just the bottom of my thighs being in the water now is a huge improvement. I was worried about losing thrust being that high up, but there was no issue.
The tube cuts through the water way better that u styled tubes and the cargo space behind you is a life saver for storage. My only complaint was the two huge pockets and no smaller side pockets. Once I rearranged my gear into boxes I am now more organized and am stoked about them. All I need now is a make shift fly patch and life will be good.
