Hey all... I'm in the market for my first fish finder. And would like any feedback from anyone who have had any experience with the Piranhamax series positive or negative.

I'm thinking about picking up the color display model 195c. I was able to find one for $107. It appears to be a good deal and hoping to pick it up or pass on it soon as I get some feed back from anyone.

Thanks... your help is appreciated.

I use the 175 myself and it is grey scale . But exactly the same features of the 195c . At $110 I would jump all over that . The series is great and easy too set up and read on the water . Structure scan is simple and it mounts easily to a float tube fanatics mount.

Thanks Wes for the feedback. After reading your response at how good of a deal it is. I jump all over it.

Here's the link where I bought it from for anyone who would like to get that deal.

Great Deal, I can tell by looking at it and I have seen it in person on a tube that the scaling and detail is pretty much the same in readings and setting as my 175. I have played with both and I am sure you will enjoy the Humminbird Finders .

I have the 170. It works.
Its plain Jane, of course.
But you get depth and contour info, and an alert when things are below.

Beyond that, well... not much else. But consider not having them, you know?

Ok... Thanks for all the feed back guys. I've pull the trigger on the Piranhamax 195c. Should be getting it next week right before Christmas. santa

Now, I need to get the float tube fanatics mount. Which one do you guys suggest? I saw the U1 model and the model specifically for the hummingbird Piranhamax. The U1 model I believe is about 6 or 7 bucks more. I'm leaning towards the U1 model just so I have options in other fish finders in the future.

The u 1 mount would be great for the p max finder
I have the up 1 which is basically the same but comes without the power system

I built my own power system for less than $10
And my garmin Echo 150 will run all day on it

The u 1 and up 1 are designed for the smaller
Bases used on the Echo and piranha max fishfinders
The U2 and up 2 are designed for mid size fishfinders like the  elite 4x fron lowrance

Either way the u1 (powered mount)
Or up1 (non powered mount)
Will work great with your pyranhamax
Fishfinder
