Lowrance® Elite-4 HDI Sonar with DownScan

What's up everyone, so I am looking to buy a fish finder but I don't know if I should buy, a Lowrance® Elite-4 HDI or the Lowrance Elite-4X CHIRP. If any of you guys have any of these fish finders what are your thoughts and opinions. Its time to step up my game and make better videos and I think this will be a key to make that happen.

I have the elite 4x DSI and it's cool but it's takes a lot of time to get use to it and it's not all that great IMO. The 3d pictures aren't as great as they make it out to be. Every time I'm out on the water with it I'm always missing around with it here and there trying to get better picture/scran on the bottom etc
I almost like my garmen 100 better.
I'm either gonna go back to my garmen or up grade again to even a better unit

I recently purchased the Elite 4 HDI, but have yet to install it on my skiff. The GPS and tracking was the decision maker for me. Being able to store waypoints was important so I went with the GPS model.  Once I hook it all up all provide some better feedback.

Hmm, you are like the 4th person to tell me that miller. I think Im going to buy the lowrance hdi 4 after doing some homework it looks like this is something im going to love. Have you had more progress on the water with your fish finder?

That is one of the things that this fish finder is making me decide on. I know spending the whole day out in the water we all love to do, but going to that hot spot just makes thing much sweeter.

Being able to mark that Structure that not a lot of people know about is huge !! it will also help in mapping migratory points from season to season , I have a Garmin Waterproof portable I carry and I have mapped different spots over the last several years .

Of course things are always changing as structure is moved , but it will help put you onto some big fish spots for sure .

Yes you are right about that Wes, I almost bought a used garmin 160c for 50 bucks but it does not give me that many options that Im looking for. I never thought a fish finder was that important till now. Having the ability to see the structure and mapping them out is a big plus when it comes to big lakes.

dude, you don't even need good credit or a credit card!!! just an ATM card and they take it automatically !!! bought my sonar, super cat delux, and kayak that way

lol! Its not that bro, I have a bass pro shop credit card. Its just cuss I just finish paying it. I also looked it up on cabela's website and its 50.00 bucks cheaper and i also just finished paying off that credit card too lol!!

Ok so I pulled the trigger on the Lowrance Elite-4 HDI ,The best part it was on sale, even the guys at the bass pro shop where in disbelief , $200.00 and the battery $32.00 bucks, now I have to MacGyver it temporarily so that I can mount it and use it.
