Maiden Voyage Not a Skunk

I took my Cumberland out this morning for the official first time. ( I took her out when I first got her but just to see how she felt.) Went to a little pond on Ft Bragg by the airfield.

These two I am using my phone to take the picture so that's what I am looking at. Needed a shot of me in the tube. Still working out the bugs.

First thing I have to come up with a better mount for my action camera. At least when it fell it fell in the front of the boat. So will be working on that tomorrow.

I heard that if there are no pictures it didn't' happen......so here is the proof that I caught my first fish in the tube.

Ok so maybe I shouldn't of had the picture....lol this little guy hit that blood worm fly under a hopper. Anyway didn't get skunked he is just over 4in as you can see. Don't worry that is not the only fish I caught today .

HAHA this was smaller than the first one it was one of those days, almost 100 degrees windy not much biting. I saw a couple of small boats and they didn't catch anything so I don't feel so bad.

It was fun and got some things figured out and some things to adjust.

Thanks, Guys I am sure they will, it would be hard to go smaller.   I'll be going out again soon. Hope the have the camera issues solved tomorrow.

I have done a little work this morning, I added a rod holder on the other tube and changed out the fly rod holders for spinning rod holders. Still working on the camera mount. I am also working on a way to lower the camera down into the water to work as a fish cam using an app on my phone to view the underwater scene.

Don't care for the rod leashes, these are ones I use on my kayak, I am thinking of going to something like these in the 48 inch :

Made the mount for this one out of an old cutting board, much cheaper than starboard.
Well a work in progress, I tend to pimp my ride whether it is my tube, my kayak or my boat. Almost as fun fishing.... not really.
