Gone too long... Here's an update.

Hey y'all! My schedule has been crazy. No time to load up my tube in my little car and find a body of water that is close enough to coincide with my schedule. So I haven't been tubing. You must be crazy if you think I haven't found time to sneak in some shore fishing when I can. Here are pics from the past month or so. Mostly at the creek by my house, and a couple at SARL. Enjoy! Hopefully when we do the real tournament I will have more time to enjoy the festivities.

Urban Cowgirl caught this one. She was sore the next day with a bruise where the rod but was on her chest and couldn't make a fist with the hand that was holding the rod.

That moment when you finally figure out what carp like to eat in your creek. They're the only thing big enough in that place to peel your drag. When life gives you carp... Something clever about lemonade and carp or something.

I took this pretty silver cat at SARL in Chris's Pond then weighed him in (just for my rewards points there) then promptly through him back in the trophy cat lake because it's CPR only and I thought I would like to see him again with another fifty pounds on him someday.

This is actually a big cat for the creek. That's why I started fishing the carp. Oh... And because every time I use night crawlers there at night I end up catching multiple bull frogs and they are hard to unhook. I feel bad.

Yeah bro the carp action is great. Other than that, green sunfish are abundant. Some bass. Lots of cat. All small though. It's all about the carp there.

Common misconception actually... they're really good if you descale them, gut them, marinade them in citrus and spice, put them in the oven on 400 degrees, then wait about thirty minutes, take it out, throw it away, outside in the dumpster, (not your trash can in the kitchen), then order a pizza. Lol

Not a lot of Carp eaters out there. I don't know how to prepare them either.
