Havasu Apr 24-26

Went to Lake Havasu for a few days last week.  Rough rough week.  Wind was supposed to be awful so we did some shore fishing and I used my tube in the mornings.  

Monday we caught some small stripers and lost a few smallies in the channel by London Bridge and set up at night for cats and stripers.  Only fish landed were huge stripers like the one attached.  

Tuesday it was off to fish from my tube.  Landed 1.  Good fish though.  Lost 9 or 10 on the hookset/right after/on the jump.  I struggled for sure.  

Went to the channel again by foot and landed this 2 lb. smallie and a largemouth about the same size.  Fun trip and had the bites, just struggled to connect and land the fish.

Sounds like over it was a good trip thanks for sharing.

Wind is the toughest for us tubers to overcome,not counting the frozen water.

Havasu is an awesome fishery. The LM are bigger than your average LM in most lakes and there are a ton of big aggressive smallies in there.

And some big striper and giant red ear...multiple 5+ pound red ear came out of there and I've caught some between 1-3 lbs. Saw a good 2 lb. red ear last week but he saw me first.
