Newport 7/25

Got on the water at grey light, incoming tide.  Setting the tube in the water I saw a good sized stingray a few feet away.  Got a few good sized spotties, lots of littles and a couple short halibut.  Also got 2 rays, 1 on 6lb test scrounger and fluke, bigger one came on a  drop shot gulp fluke.  Really thought I had a hell of a halibut on, gaff was ready.  Had to kick to shore both times to unhook.  Sounded like the wedge was pumping.

The wedge is absolutely pumping. Yesterday and today.

I'm in HB - right at the pier.... it was up to about 7 - 9 feet this morning. I can only imagine the Wedge in this type of swell.

Nice work. I have fished NPB many times, but never in a tube. Its on my very short list to get in there soon.

The smaller Ray's can surely fool ya; at times, into thinking that they are Hali's.  
I've had a few on that I would have sworn were Hali's without a doubt!    lol Fooled again!! lol
