Here is a link to a video that I made of a fishing trip to Mammoth Lakes, CA with my daughters. No float tubing in the video, but I thought that some of you might find it interesting.
We fished Lake Mary, Lake Mamie, and Lake George while we were there for four days right after the ice had come off. There was still about five feet of snow in the woods. Lake George still had a few icebergs floating around which my dog enjoyed swimming out to.
We found the best fishing at Lake Mamie, where the three of us landed 23 rainbows in about two hours using Panther Martin spinners. We did some hiking in deep snow to get to the less crowded side of Lake George and I caught a tiny native rainbow that made it worth it. The last part of the video is one of my daughters and I using our dutch oven to cook dinner.
