Like Jeff I felt the need to get on the water and the best time for me to go was Saturday night. Unfortunately the weather forecast didn't look good with stormy weather. I figured as long as it didn't rain too hard and there was no lightning with light winds I'd be alright.
Turned out to be a fun night with being on the water from midnight until 3 am. Light sprinkle but the cold wind was more difficult to take than the rain. I was planning on kicking across the bay but the wind picked up enough that I stayed close to the 62nd street marina and sand beach areas on that side of the bay. The fish didn't mind the weather and got 7 sandies, 3 spotties, and 1 bat ray that I broke off after 15 minutes. Sorry no night pictures but 2 sand bass were legal. I wore a wetsuit because I wasn't sure how hard it'd rain
I haven't been out much lately but hope to start getting more sessions in. Good to see everyone on the site getting out there
