Caught and released these guys this morning on a beautiful day.  The sandie hit an anchovy colored Big Hammer attached to a 1/4 oz chrome underspin, and the spotty nailed the same thing except the BH was lime green.  Fun to be back on the tube...

nice job, was a beautiful morning. im introducing the 14 year old boy across the street to float tubing tomorrow. his mom was telling me he was going crazy stuck at home and couldn't fish. i told her i have a complete 2nd set of equipment and if she wanted to drive him to bay, i could have it all set up and ready for him. so we will be hitting a bay tomorrow.

WTG Mark,

It is good to see some people getting on the water and catching some fish.

Thanks, but I forgot to mention these were the only 2 fish I caught in a 4 hour session. Hopefully the bite will pick up when the water temp goes up a few degrees.

Still, time on the water is much better than working around the house...

It’s all good Mark

I went out (late morn) the other day and only caught (1) Mackerel in 2 1/2 hours of fishing, after landing 30 fish the day before. Not really worthy of a fish report.

It was the conditions: just a different time of the day and a different tide movement and different sun caused shadows that made the difference. And per the iSolunar, I was in literally between the major and minor active periods.

The water temperature has recently increased up to 62° where I fish in and I should be seeing some good signs of healthy large leaf kelp growth happening soon.

The old adage ... “When the kelp grows  ... the fish show”. lol

Here’s to a great fishing season still ahead of all of us Mark!  Thumbs Up

Ha ha ha!
And here I was hoping that you wouldn’t notice or mention that particular detail ... hence ... no fish report. lol

Well ... thank you 🧐 captain obvious!
Ha ha ha! Mark ... I couldn’t refuse ... the devil made me say it! Ha ha ha!

Yes ... even I have a rough fishing sessions and then try to make everybody else believe that it’s really OK for me not to catch fish as long as I can just be out there fishing on the water. Hmmmmm.

Well folk’s ... if I had just wanted to be out there “floating around on the water and not catching fish is ok then I’d invest some money and get myself a SUP!
That BS. I want to catch between 30 and 50 fish every session and a bigger PB Halibut each time as well.

What can I say, I pray for success!
