Swimmer in the water

So Sunday was a tough day for me on the water. I ended up fishing the L.A.B as I was meeting a guy who was donating to the toy drive and to make it easier on him I figured I would come his way.
I decided to fish the Napal's area as it has all these sand beaches and I thought maybe I could set up and fish for some Halibut and spotties on the fly rod. So I was all set and had a good half mile of open beach sandy bottom to kick slow through and twitch my my hand tied Clouser's

I lined up and was going to be riding the very slow current back to the launch spot. As I am moving back word I see swimmer come toward me. No big deal I am watching them and avoiding them the best I can. then I start to hear swimmer behind me they were more of a concern. No as I have traveled less then half the shore I have at least a 2 dozen or more swimmer moving around me consistently. It is now pretty much impossible to fish the line I choose. I had to bail to the other side of the channel to fish with out swimmer.

I know we share the waters with others and I am not complaining (OK maybe a little) but this was a crappy day on the water. Only because my plans were foiled by a team of swimmers. I will try it again and I hope next time it will be with out swimmer on my line.

I share your sentiment. We have this problem at Perris too. The jet skiers always buzzing is getting as close as they can to use. Ive even had 2 adult men tell me they were going to catch me and then try and do it on a kid float tube while I was fishing. It gets frustrating sometimes
