New to Float Tube

I live in Southern California. Saturday I had my first float tube fishing trip at Miramar Lake. A buddy of mine loaned me his ODC-420L tube. Although I did not catch anything, the day was a good experience. I am looking to buy a Fish Cat 4 LCS around Christmas. I have all the other equipment needed except for fins. Float tubing is so relaxing and you are so close to the fish. I plug in my MP3 player to add the sound track and relax and fish. I spent most of the day learning how to navigate the water and kick into the wind. This sport is like an aerobic work out while fishing. I can't wait until Barrett opens next spring.

Welcome to this great site........ You fish barret I only fished there once and was awesome. Didnt have to tube with me that time wish I did. Post up when ur goin im sure there will b some followers wantin to join. I know I will barret is awesome jus a lil spendy.

Welcome to the forum. Plenty of info to be shared by all. Just make sure to keep your muscles warm during the tubing sessions on cold days, or you'll pay some hefty pains later.

Oh and by the way be careful with the headphones in....some idiot the other day in broad day light came way to close to me...just be aware of your surroundings.

Welcome, you will find great info here regarding tubing salt water, fresh water lakes, and some of the pay lakes. Great group willing to share.......tubing really is addictive

Welcome to the forum. Is barrett that lake you have to buy tickets from ticket master and they DO NOT tell you when you can fish until a week before your up? I heard a few things about that, but didn't get all the info. I heard it was the "premiere" bass fishing lake for the state.

ya barrett is the lake where u buy tickets from ticket master and ya it is a really good lake for bass and tubinferbass said theres nice gil in there also
