carp eat ducks????

wow watch at around 53 sec. I knew bass and other predator fish ate them but carp???

Cool video, but I don't think the carp was big enough to get the whole duck in it's mouth. Seemed like it just pulled it under and the duck probably resurfaced out of camera view. Still cool video though.

Carp is opportunist. If they lack the food from one source, they'll make it up from another. I found that to be true at Lake Perris.

So will they really try and pick that duckling until it's small enough to swallow? I've seen them "try" and eat a lot of things and eventually just ignore it because it was too big to swallow. Now a catfish is another story.

Let's just say that it will continue to size anything and everything that it can swallow. There are instant of carps killing themselves on things that they cannot swallow in Asian's lagoons. Food got scarce, and all carps went frantic in chasing after anything and everything that landed on the water, including shoes, socks, leaves, and even your feet. You can noodle your fingers in the water, and they'll jump your hands. Not a joke.
