I don't think the harbor patrol can do much, they just deal with dumb boaters, ect. only the dfg can take action against Poachers.

You are allowed to use live bait, i.e. anchovies, sardines, squid ,ect. The legal size limit for most saltwater bass is 14", i.e. spotties, sandies, and calico's.

The live bait comment was more of dig toward the morons on the boat, as we caught bigger, and more fish on big hammer 3" swimbaits than they did on live bait. For me and the guys I normally fish with, we have a saying...Real fishermen use artificial baits. BTW, we never keep fish, no matter how big they are.

X2. Size limit is 12". Tournament is 13" unless it's fresh water then I have seen it at 15"

Oopps..my bad, I had LMB's on my mind.. I think the size limit should be 14" for any bass, fresh, or salt.
