A vote on Chapters

I just had an idea what do you guys think. Starting FTFF Chapters, we could have chapters like LA and OC, San Diego, IE, and Canada Chapters. Any thoughts on the idea guys let it flow. I good friend mentioned to me if we think small we will be small, so maybe it is time to start thinking bigger

Well I can say this....I never knew what a float tube was until I came out here. I'm bringing mine back home and will spread the word...

I vote yes but even if the guys want to keep it local there is still tons of room for the "non local" guys to share reports and provide info. Sounds like a great way to make this site bigger...

Yes we would need to do that to avoid those terf wars I could just see the after math, jigs stuck in our arms fishing line lash marks. Maybe I should rethink this

That's a big YES for the San Diego chapter!!!

I can hardly read a paragraph and you want me to do a chapter lol it a great ideal we can contact a chapter member from the area to ask questios and location and for company if we are fishong in the area maybe even a chapter rep and maybe a few meeting annual or quarterly to help this forum grow and to help manage the forum there is a lot of things that can be done with this forum . I said this before and I say it again this forum is a home away from home for me and some other so I respect this forum and everyone here special cause of we are a mix of men, women and now young adults

I'm kind of undecided on this so far.. I like that everything is together now. I see the reports from lake outings that I might not click on if I was in the OC Tubing Chapter. I'm all for going BIG.. But right now, it seems like maybe a dozen people who regularly post.

Speaking of going BIG.. why is this hosted on do-talk.com ??
I suppose when starting out small, it is nice because do-talk is supposedly "free", and it seems to have a lot of nice features. But now, it seems big enough and successful enuf to venture out as a top-notch stand-alone website forum? No?
Especially since we now seem to be having to pay for more storage and service now?

Despite my wishy-washy indecisiveness above, I'll vote yes on chapters.. looking to the future when we have thousands of tubing maniacs out there, internationally!!

Ya I am looking into hosting this for real, there is alot of unknowns for me right now when it comes to this. But I am talk with a guy that is giving it to me strait. First I will be purchasing a Domain and we will go from there.
I like the forum as is but growth is happening and there is going to be change weather I we want it or not. The goal is to make it simple and easy not over whelming. As for the Chapters ya we are not that big yet but I would like to talk about it and get it going soon. We can add chapters as they grow. Not sure if they will have the own post areas or just a simple list of how is in what chapter. There is a lot to think about and a lot of ways to go, lets just keep it going the right way up up up

Hey jeff if you even need help or advice on hosting and stuff just shoot me a pm. I actually hosted my first "forum" back in 89. It was silly little wildcat bbs that didn't even have a gui, but it was a forum none the less.

Thanks LGHT I have a few guys offering help, so I opted to talk to our IT guy at work. Once I have more info from him and am ready to make a move I plan on checking in with everyone else to see what they say. You are on the list thanks bro.
