Went to LAB for the socal bay series, although i heard somethings about how bad it was, it went very smoothly, weigh-in was a bit cluttered but that was because of the saltwater bass series event.
So we (me and partner) launched at 5:45 in the morning kicked to our first spot and by the time we got there it was 6 and we could begin fishing. We fished some newer built docks for nothing, then my friend spotted a very fishy area across the channel so we went there right away and he was right. He got there a bit before me cause he had a yak and almost instantly he got bit real good but he couldn't get a hook set off. Then almost right after the samething happens to me. We fish some more piling in there for nothing, then he goes to the very back drops down and gets a spotty. Then about 2-3 minutes later I catch my first spotty. We fished around the rest of bay for 0 bites and 0 fish. We later learned that the fish were biting blades, would have been good to know while we were fishing.
