Hi everyone Im new and just got a cumberland tube. I would like to make a floating fish trap, one simular to the one Mark Headlee made on his Teambass2000 youtubes. Would anyone have any ideas for me? Mark is not going to produce them as he intended. What do you guys use? Thanks

I remember the product from watching the video last year but now it seems the video is no longer available on Youtube. I did a search under Mark Headlee and Teambass2000. Welcome to the site and good luck.

Welcome to the forum and for a live well, use a laundry basket. I use a hard plastic one with 1/2" PVC around it with a pool noddle

Thanks for the ideas. I think I have a plan for a fish trap type, now I just need to make it.

you could always get the floating cage baskets they sell at wallmart, they work good and are like $13.

How about that netted in area behind your seat, that is what my buddy did with his cumberland. Had 5 fish 15 to 18 inchers in there the last time we went out.

Of course that does not work if your hauling a cooler back there.

The floating collapsable fish basket mentioned from Wal Mart are made in 2 different sizes. They dont carry the larger ones. I have the larger one and got it many years ago from Janns Netcraft and has been great especially when you get into a mess of good Crappie or whisker fish. I carrie a light chain stringer as well for braggin size fish. Trick to keeping fish alive on a chin stringer is to hook them through the upper lip, not through a gil and out the mouth as most do. That just keeps them wet after they die so they wont spoil. Thumbs Up
