So I had an itch that needed to be scratched so I drove to Savon Tackle on my lunch break. I found some new plastics, which appear to be a grub of some sort and I believe them to be MC made baits.

Have any of you ever used these and do you have any tips on using them?

I used some Christmas tree colored ones and I was getting hit on me pretty good but the tails don't seem to stay on very long. Maybe that was just the ones I got. Might be different with your batch.

Lately those have been my go to swimbait. I either rig them with a regular lead head or with a sled head.

I bought a 3 pack of sled heads as that was my assumption on how to rig them. Do you put a skirt on the lead head when you use yours?

With the regular leadheads I have used them with skirts. I do not add skirts to the sled heads. I've never noticed a huge difference from having a skirt on or off so I usually don't bother with them.

Thanks lolly! I can't wait to hit the LAB and try them out. I'm assuming spotties caught on them right? Any other species?

Surprisingly enough I haven't caught a spotty in quite some time. But it'll work on them no problem. I have caught sandies, calicos, rock fish, sculpin, halibut, and more lizards than I care to count.

OTS does have an insane color that I like and no one else has. I will give them that but I like how these hold the scent in between the ribs.

Those are FIRE!!! I began using these a few months ago. I've caught several species on these grubs. The plastic is durable. OTS has some killer plastics also.

true I got to give MC ribs credit, its like every other bait. They all have there time and place to shine that day but I have a higher catch % with OTS.

Fish those grubs for the first time at LAB the last Sunday of the FHS and did well with them. I was using something like a calico color with sprinkles. If you go to the saltwater reports and look for Yellowrock's report Called

LAB session then.....FHS.

you'll see pics of the fish and color grub I've used.
