Hi Folks
I joined this forum today my name is Alan & I am based in Port Hardy Vancouver Island. Moved over from the Uk 2 years ago.

Fly fisher for many years but new to float tubing, looking to purchase over the next few days for use in the small lakes in & around North Vancouver Island, but not sure which would be my best choice of these three:

Bucks High Adventure U Tube
The Togiak U-boat
The Bighorn

Any help or opinions on best option would be much appreciated

Welcome Alan gald you could make it to the forum. hope you enjoy yourself here, we have some great members willing to share and help. We look forward to hearing about your first float tube trip. As for your 3 tube choices, I have Togiak U-Boat it was pretty good for a beginners I have heard good things about the Buck Bag tubes also, I have not road in the Buck's or big horn but Ed has the big horn and he is happy with it.
If I were in your shoes being that you are in to fishing quite a bit or so it seems. I would go with either the buck bag or the Big horn just my 2 cents.
Once again welcome bro.

Welcome to the forum, I have 2 Togiaks and have been happy with them so far. I think there better for the lighter floaters(Im a little over 200 okay 215!) but they work great for my son at 150. Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome & feedback guys Smile

Fever: I like the look of the Togiak, but heard reports of the seat being uncomfortable on the back?

Ed: The Bighorn looks very comfy & seems to have lots of storage etc, It seems bigger than the other tubes I am looking at, so is there a trade off here on it`s ability to maneuver around etc?

I can`t find any reviews of the Bucks High Adventure U Tube but on the pics I have seen is looks a nice tube.

Having been a fly fisher for 25 years back in the Uk I am looking forward to fishing some of the small lakes around the North Vancouver Island and not having a boat a tube is the way to go but I want get the right one Smile
