Awesome Time In The Eastern Sierras

Last weekend a few of us headed up to the eastern sierras for some trout action. We camped out at the Silver Lake campsites.

The weather wasn't too bad. High 60's during the day and High 30's at night.



Day One:


The first day we hit up Virginia Lakes.

The fishing was awesome at Virginia Lakes. The trout were slamming red power worms on jig heads from the tubes and powerbait from the shoreline. Easy limits.

Day Two:

The second day we headed the Mammoth and fished Lake George.

After a great day of fishing we stopped at the Mammoth Brewing Company to sample a few beers.

Last Day:

For our last day we stood at Silver Lake which was very productive from the shorelines.

This is the second year in a row that I have gotten screwed out of a late season trip up there. I think that maybe next year I may skip one of my summer trips to make sure I have the money for fall.

I love fishing the fall season up there. The trout our out on the chew.

One of anglers told me that the browns were starting up Rush Creek. I'm gonna have to go after the brownie next next for sure.
