The plan was to go big. I spooled my Abu 6600 with 20# Ande, and tied up some Hali rigs with tripple swivels. I brought frozen squid and Octopus.
low tide 6:59 am 1.9 ft
high tide 1:39 pm 5 ft
I fished the incoming, I started trolling the octopus. Nothing for the first hour. I had a 3in sexy smelt that i was working also. I picked up a lizard fish and was going to try and use it for bait but it came off as i was flinging it in the tube . then I get another one then the squid rig goes off, its a bat though. I almost get spooled in minutes. So I turn and start kicking towards it to gain some line. I fight this thing all over the harbor. Then it starts heading towards a boat NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Eventually it breaks off, 45 minutes later. I am too exhausted to deal with that again so I do not re rig that pole. Beat again by the winged one So I decided to focus on the Bass I pick up a mini sandy in short order. Then I start getting some better models

Next time I try this I will be more heavily armed with my jig stick and calcutta, it has more stopping power in case i miss my target again. I still managed to turn the skunk into a great day on the water.
