So have to ask a question about wading boots. I own the Caddis boot strap waders. Eventually would like to upgrade on the fins but for now will try these out. My question is for these types of fins can I use regular types of shoes or boots or do I really need a pair of good wading boots? Reason I ask is I hear a lot of guys use diving fins and I see them on CL a lot so rather then invest in boots I was wondering if it is possible to just use an old pair of Die Hard boots for now or tennis shoes and get some good diving fins down the road?

Are you talking about the Caddis 2 buckle/strap type fins? You can use them with anything.  With waders I wore booties.  In the summer I wore socks and tennis shoes.

Yes those are the ones. Thanks I think I'll hold off on boots. Booties are more light weight so would rather go with those and try tennis shoes as well for now.

over my waders. Both are comfortable and do the trick.
