I got in a nice morning session today. Lots of small schools of bait fish roaming around, nothing like the giant school from last week. I forgot to change the batteries on my FF so I worked some spots from memory. There were 5 kayaks, 3 pontoons all with trolling motors, 2 other float tubers, and a guy in raft with a trolling motor. You could see the bass breaking the surface in groups chasing the bait fish. No one was catching anything tossing to the breaking fish or working plastics below them.
About 10 am or so the area cleared out a bit and at 10:30 am I got a hit on the Berkley spoon in 13 feet of water but missed the hookset somehow. I changed to the Cotton Cordell with a treble hook and cast to the same spot and bam, fish on the first cast!! Nice little 2.5 pounder. I cast back to the same area and get hit again. I ended up with 5 fish in 30 minutes all on the CC spoon from the same area.
Here are a few pics.
